International Friendly Match

Monday August 15th, 2022

Rayon Sports v Vipers SC

Kigali Stadium, Rwanda

As we tighten preparations ahead of a long 2022/23 football season, Roberto Oliveira’s charges will take on Rwandan giants, Rayon Sports Football Club on Monday, August 15th, 2022 at the Kigali Stadium, Rwanda.

This will be the second international friendly for the Venoms in a space of less than 10 days.

It follows our 2-0 victory over Young Africans SC on Saturday, at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Tanzania.

The match which is part of the “Umunsi Wigikundiro 2022” (Rayon Sports Day), also marks the return of Robertinho to a club he once coached between 2018-2019.

Robertinho will be keen on making his presence loud as he has a strong 24-man squad available for selection.

Our newest signing, Murushid Juuko, is in contention to make his second debut on his return.

Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye, Paul Mucureezi and Abdu Lumala, who missed the trip to Dar es Salaam due to respective injury setbacks, are still on the road to recovery.

The team departs for Kigali, Rwanda on Saturday, August 13th, 2022.
