StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) champions Vipers SC are delighted to confirm the signing of experienced Democratic Republic of Congo defender Jacques Mangoba on a two-year contract.
The versatile right-back becomes the club’s latest addition ahead of the new campaign, further strengthening the Venoms’ squad as preparations intensify for another demanding season on the domestic, regional and continental fronts.
Mangoba joins Vipers with an impressive pedigree, bringing valuable experience from some of Central Africa’s biggest clubs and adding quality, athleticism and competition to the champions’ defensive ranks.

Fresh from reclaiming the Uganda Premier League (UPL) title, Vipers continue to demonstrate their ambition by recruiting proven talent capable of thriving at the highest level.
Mangoba follows the arrival of Uganda Cranes midfielder Joel Sserunjogi as the Venoms continue shaping a squad built to compete for every available honour.
The Kitende-based club will defend the Uganda Premier League title, challenge for the Stanbic Uganda Cup, compete in the CECAFA Kagame Cup and once again represent Uganda in the CAF Champions League.

The 25-year-old arrives at St. Mary’s Stadium after an accomplished journey through some of the region’s most competitive leagues.
Mangoba has previously featured for DR Congo giants AS Vita Club and AS Simba, before gaining further continental experience with Angolan powerhouse Sagrada Esperança.
His exposure to elite African football has earned him a reputation as a composed and dependable defender, equally comfortable contributing in defensive duties and supporting attacks down the right flank.
Standing at 1.86 metres, Mangoba combines physical presence with pace, tactical awareness and technical qualityattributes expected to strengthen Vipers’ defensive options.
