For us at Vipers Sports Club, this occasion carries even deeper meaning. SMASK is the founding body, the mother institution, and the nurturing ground of the successful Vipers Sports Club that we all proudly see today. The roots of Vipers are firmly planted in the vision, values, and spirit of St. Mary’s Kitende.
The discipline, ambition, and excellence that define the club today are a direct reflection of the culture that has long been cultivated by the school. Vipers Sports Club’s rise into one of the most respected and admired football institutions in Uganda did not happen by chance. It has been built on a strong foundation of commitment, planning, sacrifice, and sustained investment.
That foundation traces back to St. Mary’s Kitende, whose commitment to nurturing talent and building institutions has given birth to one of the finest football clubs in the country. As Vipers SC continues to shine on the local and regional stage, it is only right that we recognise and celebrate the mother body that gave it life, identity, and purpose.
On this special silver jubilee celebration, we also convey our heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Director of SMASK, who also doubles as the President of Vipers Sports Club, for the enormous and selfless investment he has made over the years. His vision, leadership, and unwavering commitment have played a defining role in shaping both institutions into models of excellence.
Through heavy investment in talent development, infrastructure, administration, and competitive growth, he has helped build Vipers Sports Club into the strong and admired brand it is today.
