Uganda Premier League champions Vipers Sports Club have continued their aggressive squad rebuild with the signing of youthful Liberian winger Robin Kane Hney on a three-year deal.

The 20-year-old joins the Venoms from Albanian outfit Apolonia Fier, where he made 12 appearances last season, netting two goals and providing five assists.

A graduate of Cece United Football Academy, Hney has also featured for Pepper FC and FC Fassell in Liberia — the latter having also been home to current Vipers head coach Ivan Jacky Minnaert.

Renowned for his blistering pace, direct dribbling, and eye for the final ball, Hney has been identified as a key piece in Vipers’ quest for silverware both domestically and on the continent.

“Robin brings youthful energy, creativity, and versatility to our attack,” Coach Minneart noted. “He is hungry to prove himself, and we believe he will excite our fans and add another dimension to our forward play.”

Hney will now compete for a starting berth alongside the likes of club captain Milton Karisa, Odili Chukwuma, and Yunus Sentamu, ensuring heightened competition in Vipers’ wide attacking roles.

The Liberian becomes the club’s fifth signing of the window, following the arrivals of midfielder Enock Ssebaggala, Odili Chukwuma, Kevin Dasylva Bady, and fellow Liberian forward Mark Yallah.

With preparations for the CAF Champions League and the 2025/26 domestic campaign in full swing, the Venoms’ intent is clear: to build a well-oiled machine capable of conquering on all fronts.

Welcome To Vipers SC, Robin Hney!
