UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE
The Date: December 7, 2024
The Contest: Bright Stars vs. Vipers SC
The Time: 4pm (Live on Fufa TV)
The Venue: Kavumba Recreation Center
Vipers SC will move back to the summit of the Uganda Premier League if they manage victory over Soltilo Bright Stars FC when the two meet on Saturday, at the Kavumba Recreation Center.
The Venoms sit second on the log with 21 points, two adrift of current leaders NEC FC, who have played a game more. The latter drew 1-1 with URA FC earlier on Thursday.

Meanwhile, tomorrow’s opponents, Bright Stars lie rock-bottom on the table, having managed six points in 10 games. They’ll thus, be raring to turn their fortunes around.
In our most recent game, we collected a point in a barren stalemate with Kitara FC at the St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

Soltilo Bright Stars, on the other hand, suffered a 1-0 defeat to Mbale Heroes FC in their most recent outing.
Coach Fred Muhumuza had this to say to the Vipers Media ahead of tomorrow’s encounter with Bright Stars.
On the mood in the squad…
“We had a disappointment of not winning the game last week against Kitara FC, but at the same time I think the players realise that with the difficulty of playing a team with a strong low block and sitting back, a draw was probably a result we had to take and they could see some positives as well in the resilience and attitude they showed.”
On facing Soltilo Bright Stars…
“It is always tough to go to Kavumba but we have picked wins from there. They are teams in two different moments but we have prepared for the game to go there and beat them, because we need a result.”
Vipers and Soltilo Bright Stars will be meeting for the 21st time in the league with the Venoms superior on head-to-head, having won 11 times, drawn nine and without any loss in the previous 20 encounters. We have scored 22 goals against six.
