KCCA FC 0-2 Vipers SC
Goals from Livingstone Mulondo and Yunus Sentamu fired Vipers SC to a commanding 2-0 victory over rivals KCCA FC in the 2025 Stanbic Uganda Cup final at a packed Fufa Stadium, Kadiba on Saturday.

The win sealed a historic domestic double for Vipers — their second ever — coming just a week after they wrestled back the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) crown from SC Villa.

Vipers hit the ground running and were ahead inside five minutes. Centre-back Mulondo, who emerged joint-top scorer of the tournament, capitalised on KCCA’s defensive frailty to slot home from close range.

The goal came after a poorly cleared corner, initially swung in by Allan Okello and flicked on by Milton Karisa, fell kindly to the defender who made no mistake.

KCCA Struggle to Respond
KCCA responded with spells of tidy possession and created a few chances of their own.
However, Emmanuel Anyama, Usama Arafat, and Brian Ijara all squandered decent opportunities to level matters, unable to break down Vipers’ well-organised defence marshalled by the ever-impressive Mulondo and Rogers Torach.

Meanwhile, Karim Watambala twice came close to doubling the lead for Vipers before the break — one effort drifting inches wide and another well-blocked by the KCCA rearguard.

Sentamu Seals It
The second half resumed with KCCA showing more urgency, and Ashraf Mugume nearly equalised when his shot cannoned off the crossbar.

However, it was Yunus Sentamu who dealt the decisive blow in the 55th minute. The striker latched onto a loose clearance following a Peter Magambo error and calmly slotted past the goalkeeper Mutwalib Mugolofa to make it 2-0.

From then on, Vipers controlled proceedings, frustrating KCCA’s late push for a comeback and comfortably seeing out the remainder of the match.
Vipers Sweep Individual Honours
It was a night to remember not just for the club but for several Vipers players who shone throughout the tournament:
- Most Valuable Player (MVP): Abdul-Karim Watambala
- Top Scorers: Yunus Sentamu & Livingstone Mulondo (4 goals each)
