Three-time Stanbic Uganda Cup winners Vipers SC will play Uganda Premier League holders SC Villa in the quarterfinals of the 2024/25 competition edition.

The draw was confirmed in an event held at the Plascon Paint offices earlier on Monday. It should be noted that Plascon Paint is also one of the sponsors to Vipers SC.

To reach this round, Vipers eliminated Blacks Power FC following an emphatic 3-0 victory at the St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, courtesy of Pedro Honjo Sukuya, Yunus Sentamu and Livingstone Mulondo.

In the Round of 32, we dumped out Mbarara City FC after a 2-0 win, thanks to goals from Sentamu and Allan Okello.

At the round of 64, the Venoms had edged Tepa FC 2-1, thanks to a brace by defender Livingstone Mulondo.

On the other hand, SC Villa edged out Lugazi FC in the preceding round, at the latter’s stadium in Najjembe.

Vipers are aiming to win a fourth Uganda Cup, which they last won in the 2022/23 campaign having beaten Police FC 1-0, courtesy of captain Milton Karisa.

Last season, we finished in the quarterfinals after being eliminated by Kitara FC, courtesy of a penalty shootout.
