UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE

The Date: April 3rd, 2025

The Contest: Vipers SC vs. Lugazi FC

The Time: 7pm

The Venue: St Mary’s Stadium

Vipers SC will be back at home, the St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, as they play host to Lugazi FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League under the floodlights, this Thursday.

The Venoms will want to make a quick turnaround from their previous glitch, when they suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of SC Villa last week.

Despite last week’s loss, we still top proceedings in the league with 49 points, two ahead of the nearest chasers NEC FC, after 21 matches.

Meanwhile, Lugazi FC suffered a 1-0 defeat to Maroons last week on Friday, and they subsequently sit 11th on the 16-team log, with 26 points.

Vipers are yet to lose a game this season in the Uganda Premier League at home, as we have won seven, with seven stalemates. The team has scored 14 goals and conceded just four at the St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

In the previous Uganda Premier League game at home, we smiled to a 1-0 victory over Wakiso Giants FC, courtesy of old boy Kenneth Kimera.

Tomorrow’s tie will be the second time in history that Vipers play Lugazi in a competitive match across all competitions. The first was in the first round, as the two played out a barren stalemate in Najjembe.
