STANBIC UGANDA CUP | R-16
Wednesday’s Result
Vipers SC 3-0 Blacks Power FC
Vipers stormed the quarterfinals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup of the 2024/25 season with a dominant 3-0 victory over Fufa Big League side Blacks Power FC at the St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
The three-time Uganda Cup winners showcased their class despite the absence of key players Allan Okello, Abdul Karim Watambala, and Rogers Torach, who are away on National team duty, for the World Cup qualifiers.

Bang-in-form talisman Yunus Sentamu set the tone in the 30th minute, superbly volleying home a Pedro Sukuya cross to give the Venoms the lead.
The second stanza witnessed Sentamu turn provider in the 59th minute, setting up Sukuya for the second goal on the hour mark.

Two minutes later, defender Livingstone Mulondo powered in a header from a Sukuya corner to put the score-line beyond reach as we safely cruised into the last eight.
With the victory, Vipers joined Kitara FC, Police FC, SC Villa, KCCA FC, BUL FC, Kataka FC, and Kaaro Karungi FC in the quarterfinals.

The Venoms, who currently top the Uganda Premier League standings, are chasing a historic second domestic double. We visit SC Villa in the Uganda Premier League at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku on Saturday, March 29th, 2025.
