Three-time Stanbic Uganda Cup winners Vipers SC have been drawn against Fufa Big League outfit Blacks Power FC in the Round of 16 of the 2024/25 competition edition.

The draw was confirmed in an event held at the Fufa complex, Mengo, as conducted by former Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Ibrahim Mugisha. The matches will be played between March 17th and 21st, 2025.

To reach this round, Vipers eliminated Mbarara City FC following a comfortable 2-0 victory at the St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende. Yunus Sentamu and Allan Okello were on the score-sheet.

In the Round of 64, the Venoms had edged Tepa FC 2-1, thanks to a brace by colossus defender Livingstone Mulondo.

It should be noted that Blacks Power FC under the stewardship of Bob Obira stunned NEC FC at the Round of 32. They also top proceedings in the Fufa Big League and are on the verge of promotion to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Vipers are seeking a fourth Uganda Cup, which they last won in the 2022/23 campaign having beaten Police FC 1-0, courtesy of skipper Milton Karisa.
