Big Grab. Ogwang’s transfer is a statement of intent from Vipers SC as we seek to reclaim league dominance. His proven goal-scoring record makes him a potential game-changer in the club’s title quest.

Massively and highly-rated forward Isaac Ogwang completed a high-profile deadline-day transfer from StarTimes Uganda Premier League side Police FC to six-time champions Vipers SC.

The 27-year-old striker has signed a two-year contract with the Venoms, keeping him at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, until January 2027 with an option to extend.

Ogwang becomes Vipers’ second signing of the January transfer window, following the earlier return of midfielder Marvin Joseph Youngman from Soltilo Bright Stars FC.

Proven Goal Machine

Ogwang has been one of the standout performers in the Uganda Premier League this season, netting six goals in 13 matches for Police FC. His impressive displays have propelled Police to 10th position on the table with 18 points from the first round.

His goal-scoring exploits earned him a national team call-up for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers, where he made an impact by scoring against Burundi.

National and League Pedigree

Last season, Ogwang was instrumental in Police FC’s promotion back to the top flight, scoring 12 goals to help them win the Fufa Big League title.

Besides Police, the experienced forward has previously featured for SC Villa, Kampala Junior Team (KJT), Spartans 09 and Big League side Arua Hill SC.

Title Aspirations Boost

Ogwang’s arrival at Vipers is expected to bolster the attacking options as we push for the league title. He will contend for a spot in a competitive forward lineup that includes Mohamed Salem, Yunus Sentamu, Gusto Mulongo, Kenneth Kimera, and Annest Ankunda.

Vipers will be counting on Ogwang’s sharp instincts in front of goal to convert their chances and reignite their title hopes.

Everyone at Vipers Sports Club welcomes Ogwang & wish him the very best of luck.
