Three-time Stanbic Uganda Cup champions Vipers SC will face FUFA Regional League side Teso Progress Academy (TEPA) FC in the Round of 64 of the 51st edition of the competition.
This was confirmed in a draw that was conducted by renowned musician Moses Ssali alias Bebe Cool, at the Kampala Serena Hotel, on Monday.
The Venoms will take on the Ngora district-based side between January 10-20, in what will be a long trip to North East away from home.
It will be the first time in history that the Kitende-based side will be taking on TEPA in a competitive engagement.
Vipers will be charging for a fourth Stanbic Uganda Cup title, with their last triumph coming in the 2022/23 season, as they edged Police FC 1-0, courtesy of Milton Karisa at the Akii-Bua Stadium in Lira.
Last campaign, we were eliminated at the quarterfinal stage by Kitara FC, following post-match penalties in Masindi. The latter went on to lift the Cup after beating NEC FC 1-0 at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
