UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE
The Date: January 3rd, 2025
The Contest: UPDF FC vs. Vipers SC
The Time: 4pm
The Venue: Bombo Military Barracks
Vipers Sports Club will kickstart the new year 2025 with a continued push for the 2024/25 Uganda Premier League championship, when they visit UPDF FC at the Bombo Military Grounds on Friday.
The Venoms will look to make it back to back victories in the league after a comfortable and emphatic 4-0 win over Mbale Heroes FC last time out, about two weeks back at the Mbale Municipal Stadium.

Victory against UPDF FC will make it six successive victories away from home for Vipers. Also, should they avoid defeat in Bombo, it will make it 14 unbeaten games on the bounce.
At the moment, we top the log with 28 points after 13 matches. We sit one and four points ahead of second-placed and third NEC FC and KCCA FC, respectively.

On the other hand, the Army side lie 10th on the 16-table team with 17 points in 13 matches.
In our most recent game against UPDF in Kitende, we were 2-1 winners, courtesy of goals from midfielder Allan Okello and the now-departed Eric Kenzo Kambale.

At tomorrow’s grounds last season, Vipers were narrow 1-0 victors, thanks to a solitary goal from central defender Livingstone Mulondo.
Vipers have picked four victories over our opponents in the last five matches, with the other ending in a stalemate.

Since the 2014/2015 Uganda Premier League season, Vipers and UPDF have met 14 times. The Venoms are without defeat, and managed ten victories, while four games ended in stalemate.
