UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE
Saturday’s Result
Vipers SC 1-1 BUL FC
Vipers SC were held to a frustrating one-all Uganda Premier League stalemate by BUL FC at the St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende floodlights on Saturday.
Allan Okello’s strike from the spot cancelled out Pascal Ngobi’s opener in a game that didn’t necessarily reflect our dominance on the evening.

Ngobi netted from outside the box in the fourth minute, before Okello grabbed the leveller through a penalty, after Gusto Mulongo had been felled in the box by Najib Fesali.
The point left the Venoms second with 25 points, one adrift of current leaders NEC FC after 12 matches.

Vipers could have extended their tally on the evening but couldn’t take advantage of the number of the goal scoring opportunities created.
Milton Karisa should have scored at the half-hour mark after a brilliant through ball from Okello, but the former was denied by goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa.

In the second stanza, Okello nearly made it a brace, but his strike off a Moses Waiswa cutback narrowly missed the target.
Okello later turned creator to Karisa yet again, but the latter missed from point-blank range as he Mutakubwa saved his goal bound effort.

Karim Watambala and Hilary Mukundane then missed chances in the latter stages of the game, as Vipers settled for a point at home turf.
The Venoms will seek to make quick amends on Friday, when they visit Mbale Heroes FC at the Mbale Municipal Stadium.
