In a top of the table clash, Vipers SC will play host to KCCA FC in what promises to be a mouthwatering Uganda Premier League action at the St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende floodlights on Saturday.

The clash witnesses two sides separated by a single point on the table. Vipers are third with 16 points, while KCCA sit at the summit with 17, after seven matches.

The Venoms are on a stroll that has witnessed them emerge victorious in each of the last four games. We have won five overall, with a draw and a defeat, apiece.

On the other hand, KCCA have picked five wins this season, with two stalemates and no defeat.

Last campaign, tomorrow’s guests were narrow 1-0 victors in Kitende, while they also picked a 3-1 win at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

“I have big respect for Coach Abdallah Mubiru and his style of play is clear. They play with big intensity and with courage this season. I think they will be aggressive, and they have a clear style with and without the ball. I think it will be a good game to watch.” explained Coach Fred Muhumuza.

“In terms of our target, we want to improve our place in the table. Last season is history, this season is completely different. For sure we have the ambition and I am positive because I believe in my players, and I know their human qualities. They will be emotional games and it’s nice to compete against the best but we are focused on our target.”

Even then, we still hold the head-to-head advantage over KCCA, having picked 15 wins against 14, with nine encounters ending in stalemates.
