Mbarara City FC 1-3 Vipers SC

Vipers SC picked a much needed three points after getting the better of Mbarara City FC in a 3-1 victory at the Kakyeka Stadium on Tuesday.

On the day  Okello opened the scoring at the stroke of halftime, sending goalkeeper Abdu Kimera the wrong way, after Sentamu had been brought down in the box by Yusuf Mafabi.

Seven minutes into the second half, Okello yet again dispatched from the spot, following a hand ball by Innocent Wafula.

Four minutes later, Latif Ssenkubuge netted Mbarara City’s consolation through a header, off a cross from Joseph Ankandanwaho.

Sentamu then wrapped up Vipers’ win with a composed finish off a fine run and through pass from Okello.

Vipers, who face KCCA FC next on November 9 at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, are now on 16 points after seven match-days.
