Haruna Kyobe one of the Directors at Vipers Sports Club together with Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa & Tadeus Kitandwe, has served in almost every capacity at the club.

From being a club fan while still a toddler, to a player, then worked as secretary before upgrading to a Director & shareholder in the company.

Towards the end of his playing time at the club in 2004, there was division within the ranks of the then Bunamwaya Sports Club fans over Kyobe as many believed he still had a lot to offer.

However having already been appointed the club secretary while still an active player in 2001, Kyobe had already made up his mind to start his administration career.

His wishes came to pass though painfully after suffering a career ending knee injury in a first division league fixture against Entebbe United at Lufuka playground.

Hating already gotten engaged in the club’s secretarial responsibilities, he called it quits at the end of the 2004 Wakiso first division league season but without seeing the team qualifying to the super league as a player which had always been his dream.

In January 2010 after the Win in Africa with Africa Administration course at Jinja Nile Resort out of which the famous Jinja Declaration was born, the club transformed into a limited company guaranteed by shares.

After the Jinja Declaration was approved, all top tier league clubs were required to hire Chief Executive Officers (CEO) to oversee the day to day running of these football entities hence Kyobe handed over the mantle to Peter Lwanga as the new CEO in 2013.

When the club President Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa honoured him with an Award of dedicated services in recognition of his unwavering commitment to Vipers SC, it was befitting.

Congratulations Director Harunah Kyobe. Your efforts are unmatched.
