Vipers Sports Club have announced the launch of the first annual VIPERS DAY festival, set to kick off the 2024/25 season in grand style.

The festivities, set for July 27th, 2024, were unveiled during a press briefing held at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende. The club’s top brass, including Club President Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa, Chairman George William Mulindwa, Head of Marketing Simon Ssekankya, CEO Simon Njuba, and General Manager Steven Mulindwa, were all in attendance to share the exciting news.

The Vipers Day Fete aims to foster interaction among various stakeholders such as administrators, sponsors, fans, media, players, former players, dignitaries, and well-wishers.

“For the past four years (except during the Covid years), we have organized what we call Vipers Fans Day to bring fans together. This has helped us attract numbers,” a club official shared. “We are now transforming the fans day into the Vipers Day. Vipers is a big family, so we are looking at a bigger picture. This is a day when everyone who wishes Vipers well will join in.”

Other countries, especially South Africa and Tanzania, have successfully hosted similar events, and now it’s time for Uganda to join in the fun. This event promises to be big and is here to stay. It’s one way of mobilising the fans.

The day will feature a variety of activities including football matches, entertainment, fan registration and engagement, wining and dining, season ticket sales, and more.

Two exciting matches are scheduled: a showdown between Vipers’ former players and the team’s fans, followed by the main game where the Venoms will take on a continental powerhouse, to be confirmed later this week.

Additionally, the 2024/25 squad and technical team will be officially unveiled to the fans, promising an unforgettable day of pure ecstasy and glamour at the Vipers Day Fete.
