Vastly talented striker Kenneth Kimera has signed, and subsequently been unveiled by six-time Uganda Premier League champions Vipers Sports Club.

Kimera, who played for Wakiso Giants FC last season, has put pen to paper on a three-year employment contract with the Venoms, that will run till the 2026/27 season with an option to extend.

The youngster becomes the third signing for the 2022/23 league champions, having already secured the services of left-back Derrick Ndahiro and Angolan attacker Pedro Honjo Chimbiambiulo alias Sukuya

Kimera comes in to bolster the forward line that already has the likes of Yunus Sentamu, Fumador Asiwome, Fazil Tumwine, Abdul Nsereko, Eric Kenzo Kambale and others. 

With Wakiso Giants last season, Kimera was one of the finest youngsters in the Uganda Premier League, having netted 10 goals in 27 matches. It was his first campaign in the topflight. 

Before his stint with the Purple Sharks, he was a student at Kibuli SS. There, he netted nine goals to finish as the top-scorer in the 2023 UMEA Solidarity games boys football that were held at Kawanda.

Kimera also previously featured in the Buganda Masaza Cup where he played for Gomba in 2023 having joined from Kyadondo.
