Six-time Uganda Premier League champions Vipers Sports Club have completed the acquisition of massively rated and talented left-back Derrick Ndahiro.

Ndahiro has been secured on a two-year contract that will run till 2026, and becomes the first signing in the ongoing transfer window.

The 24-year-old has been captured from Rwanda Premier league outfit Police Football Club, where he featured in the most recently concluded season.

He had joined them from four-times Uganda Premier League winners URA FC, a side he had joined from SC Villa.

Ndahiro boasts over 80 appearances in the UPL, having played 36 and 45 times for URA and Villa, respectively, across four seasons, previously.

He is also a Uganda National Senior team (the Cranes) international, having featured six times with debut coming two years ago in 2022.

Ndahiro comes in at a time when the Venoms are strengthening their ranks for the forthcoming season. They got off business with the announcement of new head coach Nikola Kavazovic on Wednesday.

In the preceding campaign, Vipers didn’t win a single trophy, as we finished third in the League and in the quarterfinals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Welcome to Vipers SC, Ndahiro!
