STARTIMES UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE
The Date: May 11th, 2024
The Contest: NEC FC vs. Vipers SC
The Time: 4pm
The Venue: MTN Omondi Stadium
Vipers SC will hope to complete a double over NEC FC as the two lock horns in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on Saturday, at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
The Venoms were emphatic 4-1 winners over the ‘Diehards’ in the first round, courtesy of a Fumador Asiwome hat-trick and one from Yunus Sentamu.

Oldboy Cromwell Rwothomio scored NEC’s consolation at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
However, Saturday’s contest comes with bigger stakes, as Vipers stand stern chances of clinching the title, with NEC themselves still mathematically involved.

The Venoms sit second with 49 points, the same tally as leaders BUL FC, who take on Gaddafi FC on the day.
Meanwhile, NEC, who are Uganda Cup finalists, occupy sixth on the log with 44 points.
The two sides had never met in competitive matches before this season, putting Vipers head to head record at one victory and no defeats for the latter.

Team News:
