The Date: April 23rd, 2024
The Contest: Vipers SC vs. Maroons FC
The Time: 7pm
The Venue: St Mary’s Stadium

Vipers SC will continue their pursuit for silverware this season with a Uganda Premier League clash against Maroons FC at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, on Tuesday.

The Venoms come into the game off the back of a hugely important 2-0 victory over title contenders Kitara FC, which momentarily lifted us to the top of the log.

We currently sit second with 45 points, one adrift of leaders BUL FC, who have played a game more.

Vipers take on a side that hasn’t lost in the last three league games, winning twice and managing a stalemate in the other.

The Prison Warders, who pose a massive threat against the big teams, sit seventh with 38 points in 24 matches.

The last encounter between Vipers and Maroons earlier in the season at the Luzira Prison Grounds ended in a one-all with Fred Amaku netting for the latter, while Milton Karisa grabbed our leveller.

At St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende last season, we were comfortable 3-0 victors courtesy of Karisa and a Yunus Sentamu brace.
