STARTIMES UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE
The Date: April 5th, 2024
The Contest: Vipers SC vs. UPDF FC
The Time: 7pm
The Venue: St Mary’s Stadium

Vipers Sports Club will continue the push for the 2023/24 Uganda Premier League championship with a St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende bout against UPDF FC on Friday.

The Venoms will look to make it back to back victories in the league after a comfortable 2-0 win over URA FC last time out.

Victory against UPDF FC could lift Vipers up to second, pending results elsewhere.

“The game is not going to be an easy one since every team is fighting for a good position on the League table. But we are ready for the fight. We are not going to sit back & lay our hands” explained assistant coach Richard Wasswa.

At the moment, we sit fifth with 38 points after 20 matches. We sit just six points adrift of leaders Kitara FC but have played three games fewer.

In our most recent game against UPDF, we smiled to a narrow 1-0 win, courtesy of defender Livingstone Mulondo’s strike.

Last season at the St Mary’s Stadium, we thrashed the Army side 4-0, thanks to a Yunus Sentamu hat-trick and a Rogers Adriko own-goal.

Vipers have picked four victories over our opponents in the last five matches, with the other ending in a stalemate.
