STARTIMES UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE

Sunday’s Result

Wakiso Giants FC 0-4 Vipers SC

Despite being the away team at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, Vipers SC cruised to a dominant 4-0 victory over Wakiso Giants FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on Sunday.

Goals from Fumador Asiwome, Allan Okello, skipper Milton Karisa and substitute Mohamed Salem Ekbad ensured the Venoms returned to third on the log with 35 points in 18 matches.

We are just five and three off leaders and runners-up Kitara FC and BUL FC, who have played two games and one more, respectively.

On the evening under the floodlights, Asiwome tapped in off a delicious Karisa assist before the former got withdrawn through injury for Fazil Tumwine.

Tumwine would then turn provider for Okello’s goal, which marked his first in Vipers colours in the league.

Into the second half, Tumwine yet again provided a perfect cross for Karisa to stretch the lead, before substitute Bright Anukani assisted Salem for a simple header at the death.

Meanwhile, Wakiso Giants stayed 12th on the table with 20 points in as many matches.

Vipers will return to action on Friday with a massive tie against rivals KCCA FC at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
