STARTIMES UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE
The Date: March 10th, 2024
The Contest: Wakiso Giants vs. Vipers SC
The Time: 6pm
The Venue: St Mary’s Stadium
Having picked two successive Uganda Premier League stalemates, Vipers SC will return to action against Wakiso Giants FC on Sunday, hoping to bounce back and close the gap on the top positions.
While the Venoms are the away team, the game will be played at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende as Wakiso Giants’ request to host the game there was approved over a week back by the league secretariat.
Vipers come into the game fifth on the log with 32 points, but with three games in hand over the 20 played by the majority of the teams.
Three points at Kitende will see us head back to third, as the fight to retain the championship for the third time blazes up.
Despite having two successive league draws (to Soltilo Bright Stars and Gaddafi), the Venoms won their most recent game, albeit, in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
We beat Iganga Young FC 3-0 at Kitende, thanks to goals from Karim Watambala, Mohamed Salem Ekbad and Fazil Tumwine.
