STARTIMES UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE
The Date: February 8th, 2024
The Contest: Vipers SC vs. Gaddafi FC
The Time: 7pm
The Venue: St Mary’s Stadium

After a lengthy spell without Uganda Premier League action, Vipers SC returns with a St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende bout against Gaddafi FC on Thursday.

While the second round kick started at the start of the month, the Venoms haven’t been in action as their would’ve been opponents Arua Hill SC, was banished from the league.

Headed into the game tomorrow, we sit third on the log with 30 points after 15 games.

Our tally implies the team sits seven points adrift of leaders BUL FC, who have played two games more.

“We are prepared for tomorrow’s game, it being our first game of the second round,” said assistant head coach Baker Bakabulindi Kasule.

“The league is a marathon and in this second round, we have only played one game and they (Gaddafi) have played two.”

“We need a good start in the second round and we expect to play well and get maximum points,” Kasule added.

Meanwhile, Gaddafi lie 13th with 16 points accumulated from as many games.

Vipers and the Army side have met five times in the league previously, and we boast four victories with the latter on one.

In the reverse fixture this season, we smiled to a 2-1 win, thanks to strikes from Mohammed Salem and skipper Milton Karisa.
