Vipers Sports Club can confirm that midfielder Abdu Lumala has left the club by mutual consent.
The 26-year-old enjoyed two seasons with the Venoms after arriving as a free agent in July 2022, and leaves to pursue an opportunity elsewhere.
In total, the wide man made 20 appearances for the club, scoring three goals, making five assists. He leaves as a double champion having won a domestic double, Uganda Premier League and Stanbic Uganda Cup last season 2022/23.
Lumala was an integral part of the team that eliminated TP Mazembe in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo to qualify Vipers SC for the CAF Champions League group stages for the first time in the club’s history.
Everyone at Vipers SC would like to thank the ‘Electric Man’ for his contribution to the club and wish him every success for the future.
