Stanbic Uganda Cup champions Vipers SC will get their 2023/24 journey off with a trip to Buikwe where they will play Lugazi Stars FC.

This followed the Round of 64 draws that were conducted on Monday at the Kampala Sheraton Hotel.

The Venoms will be guests to abground (Buikwe Playground) they know so well, having had it as their home previously, both as Nalubaale FC and Bunamwaya FC.

That was before we shifted to Nakivubo Stadium, before our current home, St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

Meanwhile, the Round of 64 games will be played between January 18-31, before the restart of the second round of the Uganda Premier League season.

At this stage, penalty kicks will be the deciders should the game tie at full-time.

It should be noted that Vipers seek to defend the Cup they won last season as we beat Police FC 1-0, thanks to Milton Karisa’s sole goal at the John Aki-bua Stadium, Lira.
