UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE
The Date: December 3rd, 2023
The Contest: UPDF FC vs. Vipers SC
The Time: 3pm
The Venue: Bombo Barracks

Vipers SC will hope to extend their dominance over UPDF FC when the two meet in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League at the Bombo Military Barracks on Sunday.

The Venoms have not lost a single league game against the Army side since 2015, winning eight and drawing on four occasions.

We enter tomorrow’s game off the back of a statement 2-0 victory over URA FC last time at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

And, head coach Leo Neiva is optimistic his side will make it two wins on the bounce, given the kind of preparations they’ve had over the past week.

“We have had a good week of training,” the Brazilian tactician revealed to the club media on Saturday.

“We trained well and we trained on a very aggressive level in the last couple of days,” he added.

“Now, it’s up to us to play as we trained in the last couple of days,” Neiva rallied.

Last season at tomorrow’s battlefield, we smiled home with a 1-0 victory courtesy of Milton Karisa’s sole goal.

In the reverse fixture in Kitende, the Venoms thrashed UPDF 4-0, thanks to a Rogers Adriko own-goal and a Yunus Sentamu hat-trick.

Yunus Sentamu, Milton Karisa, Rogers Torach, Jack Komakech and Bright Anukani, who were on National duty are fully back in the squad and in contention if chosen, to face UPDF FC.

Nigerian Abubakar Lawal contracted Malaria and is ruled out while Patrick Mbowa was granted leave to finish his university exams.
