Ahead of Uganda Cranes’ forthcoming international friendly matches against Mali and Zambia, four Vipers SC players are in line to feature.
Young goalkeeper Jack Komakech, experienced defender Livingstone Mulondo, silky playmaker Bright Anukani and hardworking winger Milton Karisa made the cut.
Each of the four travelled with the Cranes to Bamako, Mali where they will take on the natives on Friday in a hugely anticipated encounter.
The team will then jet out to Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates where they will play former Africa Cup of Nations champions Zambia on October 17.
The double friendly matches are precursors to the 2026 World Cup qualifiers where Uganda will take on Guinea and Somalia in November this year.
Meanwhile, it should be noted that Karisa has become a Uganda Cranes mainstay, who has hardly missed out on a call-up in the past two years.
Goalkeeper Komakech, who has started Vipers’ last three matches, has been through the various national team ranks, and will thus look to cement a spot in future squads.
Anukani, has often been under looked despite his enviable creativity, but stayed patient and will want to keep his position in the squad, as well.
On the other hand, Mulondo is one of the most experienced and versed central defenders in the country, and his consistent displays didn’t betray him.
