Vipers SC have been paired against fellow StarTimes Uganda Premier League side Soltilo Bright Stars FC in the semi-finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
The development, which was confirmed at the Fufa House in Mengo, was graced by the Fufa 3rd Vice President, Hon. Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi.

After being drawn first, we will host the first leg at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende between May 14th and 15th, before the reverse fixture at Kavumba between May 20th and 27th.
Alex Isabirye’s charges will be seeking to make third successive final, having played in each of the past two.

In the 2020/21 season, we thrashed BUL FC 8-1 in the final, before we lost to the same opponent 3-1 a year later. BUL, on both occasions, were under Isabirye.
The Venoms eliminated Calvary FC in the quarterfinals to reach this stage, after a 4-1 win at Kitende. Abubaker Lawal and Yunus Sentamu netted a brace apiece.

Before that, we had dumped each of Bujumbura United, Jinja North United and Wakiso Giants FC in the preceding rounds.
Vipers and Bright Stars have already met once in the current season in the first game of the league, with the tie ending in a goalless draw at Kitende.

Meanwhile, our opponents dumped out KCCA FC at the quarterfinals, courtesy of a 1-0 victory at Kavumba.
In the other semi-final tie, Police FC will lock-horns with Adjumani Town Council FC in an all-Fufa Big League encounter.
