As Vipers SC continues to beef up the squad with more quality, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) attacking midfielder Serge Robert Mwenge has been netted down.
The star has signed a two-year employment contract at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende that will run till 2025.
Mwenge has previously featured for DRC and African powerhouses AS Vita, and Saint Loi Lupopo.
He has become our third signing of the January transfer window after the duo of Martin Kizza and Karim Ndugwa, who joined the Venoms earlier in week.
The talented midfielder joins five other Congolese natives in the team including Alfred Macumu Mudekereza, Olivier Osomba, Gracia Mpongo Mbombo, Rodriguez Shamamba and Darcy Mbaka Kipoyi.
Mwenge is expected to vie for a starting berth in the team with a number of stars including Karim Watambala, Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye, Najib Yiga, Mpongo among others.
