UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE

Tuesday’s Result

Express FC 0-0 Vipers SC

Vipers SC played out a barren stalemate with Express FC in the Uganda Premier League at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku on Tuesday.

It was an affair characterized by very few clear-cut openings from either side, turning out frustrating in the end.

Even then, the Venoms had the better of the few chances in the first half, but Cromwell Rwothomio was once denied by goalkeeper Denis Otim, and missed the target on the other.

In the second stanza, the hosts threatened a couple of times but, on their biggest chance in the 77th minute, defender Hillary Mukundane stood strong to make an outstanding clearance to deny Joseph Musoke.

We were not helped by the mammoth of injuries, as we didn’t a number of our stars including Yunus Sentamu, Karim Watambala, Murushid Juuko, Disan Ggaliwango, Abdu Lumala, Livingstone Mulondo, Paul Mucureezi, Alfred Macumu Mudekereza and Darcy Mbaka.

Vipers, who are second with 24 points, will play host to BUL FC at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende in the next encounter on Saturday, December 17th.
