STARTIMES UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE

Match: Gaddafi FC v Vipers SC
Date: December 4th, 2022
Time: 4pm | Live On Sanyuka Prime
Venue: Kakindu Stadium, Jinja

Vipers SC will be guests to Gaddafi FC in the Uganda Premier League on Sunday, keen to hit top-spot for the first time this season.

A swift rise in form has seen the Venoms overcome a slow start to the campaign, climbing into the top positions, as we are currently third with 20 points, two behind leaders KCCA FC who have played a game more.

Our head coach Roberto Oliveira alias Robertinho has called on the team to keep the consistency ahead of tomorrow’s encounter.

“It’s very important that we repeat the consistency of last season because it helps the players,” he said to Vipers Media.

We played seven matches in November, winning six and drawing just once, and Robertinho asserted the need to use the entire squad in the ongoing congestion.

“It’s very difficult to play every three days. We need change because we’ve lost two or three players to injury because of the fast-coming games.”

“At the same time, it’s a chance to give opportunities to other players for example Karim (Watambala).”

The boss also backed our star forward Cromwel Rwothomio to find his best scoring form despite failing to find the net since joining the Venoms at the start of the season.

“I think step by step, Cromwel is improving, playing well and doing better than before.”

Last season, we managed to win both league meetings with Gaddafi we scored a total of five, conceding just one.

At the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, we beat them 2-0 courtesy of a Cesar Manzoki brace, while at tomorrow’s venue, we won 3-1 thanks to two strikes from Milton Karisa and one from Bright Anukani.

Team News:

Forward Yunus Sentamu will miss tomorrow’s game after suffering a groin injury in our last game against SC Villa on Tuesday.

The trio of Paul Mucureezi, Abdu Lumala and Livingstone Mulondo will continue to stay sidelined due to respective injuries.
