UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE
The Date: November 18, 2022
The Contest: Vipers SC vs. UPDF FC
The Time: 4pm
The Venue: St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende
Vipers SC will have a chance to extend their winning run to three matches in our home tie against UPDF FC at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende on Friday.
The encounter comes off the back of two 1-0 victories off Blacks Power FC and Arua Hill SC, and we’ll be keen on matching on against the Army side.
“We are ready for everything, we have to deliver three points to the fans,” said injury returnee Murushid Juuko to the Vipers Media.
“Despite the number of injuries in the team, we don’t have tight pressure and all focus is on getting a positive result tomorrow.”
The team has so far played four games in November, and have three more left to close the month, and Juuko concedes the tight schedule’s impact can’t go unnoticed.
“It’s a tough schedule for us, but we’re following closely the coaches’ recovery guidelines such that we can cope.”
We are yet to lose a competitive match against tomorrow’s guests, and in the previous ten meetings, we have managed six victories and four stalemates.
The Venoms thumped them 7-2 at Kitende last season, thanks to Cesar Manzoki’s brace, and a goal each from Yunus Sentamu, Bright Anukani, Emmanuel Munoobi, Bobosi Byaruhanga and Milton Karisa.
Team News:
Murushid Juuko who was sidelined for our encounter against Arua Hill on Tuesday since picking up a strain problem versus Blacks Power FC last week returned to team training ahead of tomorrow’s game.

Ashraf Mandela, who suffered a head injury against Arua Hill, will not return in time to face tomorrow’s opponents.
Meanwhile, Abdu Lumala, Paul Mucureezi and Livingstone Mulondo will continue to stay on the sidelines through respective injuries.
