STARTIMES UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE

The Date: November 8, 2022

The Contest: Wakiso Giants vs. Vipers SC

The Time: 4pm

The Venue: Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, Wakiso

Vipers SC will be guests to regional neighbours Wakiso Giants FC at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on Tuesday, for our fourth match of the 2022/23 StarTimes Uganda Premier League campaign.

It will also be a chance for the Venoms to pick a second successive victory in the league after a somewhat slow start, that had us winning none of the opening two games.

Our first win this season was, 3-0 against Maroons FC last Friday, and skipper Milton Karisa is optimistic his troops can line up another strong show.

“It’s not going to be an easy game but we’re ready as a team,” he spoke to Vipers Media.

“The team will fight for three points such that we can develop and maintain a strong run of form. We need to pick positive results.”

In a busy November, we have seven matches before December, implying a match after every three days but, Karisa is unfazed.

“We’re playing after every three to four days so there will be a very short period time to rest but we trust the coach’s program.”

“The programs will help us get enough time to recover so that we play the next games. Hopefully we can play better and keep improving,” concluded Karisa.

We have not suffered a league defeat against the Purple Sharks ever since the latter made it to the topflight in 2019/20.

During that time, we have won and drawn thrice apiece. This is inclusive of last season’s home and away victories.

At the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, we hit them for five with Yunus Sentamu scoring four times and Cesar Manzoki netting the other.

In the reverse fixture at tomorrow’s venue, we won 2-1 courtesy of Bobosi Byaruhanga and Manzoki. Moses Aliro scored their consolation.
