Vipers SC vs Olympic Real De Bangui

St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende

Vipers SC head into the second leg of the CAF Champions League Preliminary round against Olympic Real De Bangui with a 3-0 tie advantage.

The second encounter between the sides is slated for Saturday at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, with the Venoms hoping to seal the aggregate victory.

However, our head coach Roberto Oliveira alias Robertinho has stressed the tie is far from over, despite the huge advantage.

“We respect every team and are not taking our opponents for granted,” said the Brazilian to the Viper SC Media.

“Our objective of making it to the next round is half done and we expect an even harder match on Saturday.”

“I have prepared the team superbly well and everyone, from the players, the technical team and management is ready for the encounter.”

“This is what we have been building this team for. We are going to fight for everything this Saturday.”

Robertinho also added that forward Yunus Sentamu, who missed the first leg could be involved as he has overcome the illness.

Paul Mucureezi, is still deemed not fit enough for the match, but the versatile midfielder is nearing a full return.

After both ties, the winner on aggregate will meet former Champions League winners TP Mazembe in the First Round.
