Vipers Sports Club have taken a 19-man squad to Congo Brazzaville for the first leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary round with Central African Republic (CAR) outfit Olympic Real De Bangui on Saturday.

The Venoms’ depart Entebbe International Airport this morning for a one day stopover camp in Kigali, Rwanda before leaving tomorrow (Friday 9) for the match that will be played in Congo Brazzaville, their fourth appearance in the competition.

The first leg at Stade Alphonse Massamba Debat on Saturday evening will be followed by a return clash at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende next Saturday (September 17).

Yunus Sentamu who has been out for a week and still recovering from malaria misses out while Paul Mucureezi who suffered from a foot fracture returned to training.

And Robertinho Oliviera has selected the following squad.

Goalkeepers: Fabien Mutombora, Alfred Mudekereza. 

Defenders: 
Murushid Juuko, Livingstone Mulondo, Dissan Galiwango, Hilary Mukundane, Isa Mubiru, Ashraf Mandela.

Midfielders: Abdu Lumala, Bright Anukani, Marvin Joseph Youngman, Siraje Sentamu, Olivier Osomba, Ibrahim Orit, Abdu Karim Watambala. 

Forwards: Cromwel Rwothomio, Milton Karisa, Najib Yiga, Abubakar Lawal.
