Rayon Sports FC 0-1 Vipers SC
Vipers SC beat Rayon Sport FC 1-0 in our second international friendly – a showdown at the Nyamirambo Stadium, Kigali in Rwanda.
The Monday encounter which was as well part of the Rayon Sport Day celebrations, had Bobosi Byaruhanga net the solitary goal.
As has become the norm for the Venoms, we made a surge for an early opener and got it through a trademark Bobosi goal – a thunderbolt from outside the box, in the third minute.
In the 14th minute, Ibrahim Orit nearly doubled our lead but Rayon Sport goalkeeper thwarted his effort.
The hosts made tremendous efforts to find a leveller but couldn’t find the perfect final touch as we cruised for a halftime win.
Despite the home team being the better side in possession in the second stanza, they didn’t create clear-cut chances to trouble our backline.
Our shirt 8, Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye, who came on as a substitute suffered what looked like a bad injury, after being fouled in the dying minutes of the match.
The victory means the Venoms have won both international friendlies, with the first being a 2-0 win over Tanzania’a Young Africans SC over a week back.

Fabien Mutombora (GK), Ashraf Mandela, Isa Mubiru, Livingstone Mulondo, Hilary Mukundane, Siraje Ssentamu, Bobosi Byaruhanga, Bright Anukani, Milton Karisa, Yunus Sentamu & Ibrahim Orit.
Substitutions: Alfred Macumu Mudekereza, Olivier Osomba, Disan Galiwango, Abubakar Lawal, Najib Yiga, Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye, Marvin Joseph Youngman.
