Olympic Real De Bangui v Vipers SC

September 9th – 11th, 2022 | Bangui

After learning our opponents for the Preliminary Round of the Caf Champions League, head coach Roberto Oliviera aka Robertinho has expressed the team’s readiness to go as far as possible in the competition.

Vipers SC were on Tuesday evening drawn against Central African Republic outfit Olympic Real De Bangui for the first round of the preliminary stage.

“We trust our team and our way of playing and are ready for these matches,” said Robertinho to Vipers Media.

The Venoms will be the guests in the first leg between September 9th-11th, 2022 in Bangui.

The return leg will then take place between September 16th-18th, which is a week after the first, at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

“Our opponents don’t have a lot of history in this competition, and they don’t have a lot of information but, all we have to do is continue getting ready for any challenge,” added the Brazilian tactician.

The victor on aggregate will then take on Democratic Republic of Congo side, TP Mazembe in the second round.

Robertinho, who acknowledges the fact that Mazembe is a powerhouse, also feels the Venoms will put up the right challenge.

“TP Mazembe awaits the winner and they are a big club on the continent, have won a number of champions league titles and compete at a top level,” he said in an honest assessment.

“But, we will try and prepare our way because our objective is to go as far as possible for this season.”

“We trust the players and are preparing them even better for the challenge in the Champions League.”

“We are together in this, the players, technical team, management, administration, the president and the fans,” added Robertinho.
