In the aftermath of clinching six accolades at the Pilsner end of the season Uganda Premier League Awards, Cesar Manzoki dedicated the success to Vipers SC’ teamwork all season.
Our Shirt 9 walked home as the Player of the Season, Player’s Player of the Season, Forward of the Season, Playmaker of the Season, Goal-scorer of the Season and made it to the finest eleven as well, at Kati Kati Restaurant on Friday.
He was quick to pay tribute to his teammates, technical staff, administration and the fans for the triumph.
“It has been teamwork from the day I joined Vipers, that has helped me succeed so far,” the magnifico said.
“My coaches, teammates, administration and moreso the fans, have been the key in my journey at my team.”
“Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa believed in me when people doubted me and I thank him for trusting me,” added the Central African Republic star.
He as well promised to keep delivering everytime he is given an opportunity to express himself.
“I didn’t come to Uganda to play for money, I came here to write a story and I’ll continue writing it at every chance I get.”
In the other Vipers’ winners, captain Halid Lwaliwa was named Defender of the Season while Siraje Ssentamu took home the Midfielder of the Season award.
The trio, alongside Milton Karisa and Bobosi Byaruhanga were selected in the Team of the Season.
Our Brazilian Coach, Roberto Oliveira was unshockingly awarded the Coach of the Season, beating BUL’s Alex Isabirye and Busoga United’s Abbey Kikomeko.
In the same vein, Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa was recognised with a Platinum Award for his visible contribution towards developing football in Uganda.
