After clinching a fifth StarTimes Uganda Premier League title with games to spare, Vipers SC will attempt to give a memorable season a fitting climax.
The Venoms travel to Mbarara on Tuesday to face Mbarara City at Kakyeka stadium in the first leg of the semi-finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
The second leg will be at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, seven days after the first encounter with coach Roberto Oliviera’s side seeking to win a first league and cup double.
“Mbarara City is a strong team which is always hard to pick results from their home. I’ll base on my team’s experience to get results from them & seal the business at Kitende. Our target is reaching the final and win the trophy.” said Robertinho.
Mbarara have had a tough season and were relegated from the top tier to the Fufa Big League this week but remain a force to reckon with.
The Venoms eliminated Kigezi HomeBoyz FC (1-0), Kalongo United FC (3-1), Kataka FC (3-0) and Wakiso Giants FC (3-1) enroute to the semi-finals.
