Vipers SC goalkeeper Fabien Mutombora is out for the rest of the season.

The goalkeeper was still unavailable for Saturday’s StarTimes Uganda Premier League anticipated thriller at KCCA FC and will be sidelined for the next six fixtures.

The Burundian will miss games against Gaddafi FC, Express FC, Onduparaka FC, Wakiso Giants FC, SC Villa, Police FC and, providing we progress to the semifinals and finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

The Venoms show solidarity to injured goalkeeper Fabien Mutombora before the game against KCCA FC.

The head injury he sustained in the game against URA FC on Tuesday last week at the Arena of Visions, Ndejje has put paid to his 2021/22 campaign after scans showed he suffered a zygomatic bone fracture.

Mutombora, unfortunately, will be out until next season. That is a blow for him and a blow for us.

Robertinho Oliviera told Vipers Media

“He has been fantastic.”

Denis Kiggundu got the nod to operate in posts against KCCA FC over the weekend and he will have the chance to impress going forward.

Paul Willa and Ibrahim Orit have also been out, with both unlikely to return until next term unless otherwise.
