Our quest to retain the Stanbic Uganda Cup is still on the right course and the draws for the round of 16 of this year’s edition have pitted us against Kataka FC.

For the first time this season in the Uganda Cup, the Venoms will play at home, facing Fufa Big League entity Kataka FC.

According to coach Robertinho, the target is to compete favourably at both fronts (that is the League and Uganda Cup).

At the round of 64, the Venoms eliminated Kigezi Homeboyz from Kabale, winning 1-0 while the lads got better of Kalongo United 3-1 at the round of 32.

Vipers SC has won the Uganda Cup twice. The first triumph came in 2016, defeating Onduparaka FC at Nakivubo War Memorial Stadium.

The second successful story came last year when the Venoms overcame BUL FC at the Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru.

The tie will be played over the weekend of March 20th and week day of March 24th.
