Vipers’ duo of Head Coach Roberto Oliviera known as Robertinho and striker Cesar Manzoki scooped the Pilsner Coach and Player of the Month of December respectively.
Robertinho lead the Venoms to 6 games last month, winning 5 and drawing 1 with 18 goals scored and a total of 16 points garnered in that period while Manzoki scored five, assisted three and won two Pilsner man of the match awards in December.
“It is humbling to win such an award. I thank the club president (Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa), my technical staff, players and club fans. This has been collective teamwork” Robertinho revealed.
Manzoki who leads the goal scoring charts with 8 goals this season described the award as a motivation.
“This award comes as a motivational factor to me. I came here a year ago and it took me time to acclimatize to the demands of the league. I am happy that I am now used to the league physical demands. I thank my coaches and teammates plus the Vipers’ fans.” Manzoki stated.
Both Robertinho and Mazonki were given plaques with Shs: 1,000,000 (cash) courtesy of the sponsors, Uganda Breweries Limited under the Pilsner Lager brand.
