Gaddafi 1-3 Vipers SC

A Milton Karisa brace and another goal by Bright Anukani were enough for us to sail to a 3-1 away victory at Gaddafi in Jinja on Wednesday.

The victory brought us back to second place on 16 points, still six behind leaders KCCA FC. At eight, KCCA have, however, played a game more than the Venoms.

On their part, Gaddafi – one of the three newcomers to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) this season, are 11th on nine points.

It’s not that Gaddafi didn’t put up a fight. The hosts battled back from a goal down when Jamal Buchochera cancelled out Karisa’s 32nd minute goal six minutes later.

But their spirits were immediately broken again when Karisa restored the lead five minutes from half time after being teed on by Cesar Manzoki.

Anukani ended the contest three minutes later for the Venoms to record their fifth win in seven games.

We face KCCA FC next at St Mary’s Stadium on Sunday in a mouthwatering showdown.
