StarTimes Uganda Premier League
Saturday’s Result
Vipers SC 0-2 URA FC
Our unbeaten run came to an abrupt end as we suffered a disappointing defeat at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende in the hands of URA FC, who put up a commanding performance.
The game unravelled for us in the first and second half, after a promising opening half hour or so, in which we played with the confidence we had built after three successive wins.

Joakim Ojera and Cromwell Rwothomio’s goals in either half were enough to subject us to our first defeat of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League campaign.
Ojera opened the scoring on 17 minutes before Rwothomio ensured of victory with a quarter of an hour to play.

Once URA FC took the lead early in the first half, they took control, and despite the best efforts of Milton Karisa and Cesar Manzoki, we suffered another chastening home day at Kitende.
We had a few chances of our own in the first half – Karisa’s header hit the crossbar, while Bright Anunaki’s delivery into the 18yard box was headed inches wide by Halid Lwaliwa.

The Tax Collectors played an authoritative game, with Moses Sseruyidde conducting proceedings with verve to earn himself the Pilsner Man of the Match gong.
Vipers’ first defeat keeps them second on 13 points, six behind leaders KCCA FC.
