STARTIMES UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE

The Date: November 02, 2021

The Contest: Vipers vs. Onduparaka

The Time: 3:00pm

The Venue: St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende

Vipers Sports Club are ready to showcase their bounce back ability potential when they host Onduparaka in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende on Tuesday.

Despite falling to a disappointing draw against Express FC on Saturday last week, the pressure will be on the Venoms to show their title credentials by immediately returning to winning ways.

Under new tactician Robertinho, Vipers have played out enterprising football despite the 2-2 draw against Express away in Wankulukuku.

That was the first league match that Vipers had failed to pick up maximum points and with the Onduparaka tie on card in earnest, coach Robertinho and his charges will be looking to cast the demons and start the new month of November on a new clean slate.

“The match against Express was a tough one like we expected. We had only two days to recover which is not much but the players are well prepared for the next game both physically and mentally.” Vipers assistant coach Marcelo Cardoso explained.

“Fortunately all our players are in great condition and hope to get the same physical performance against Onduparaka like we did on Saturday. We know we are going to face a lot of mistakes from ourselves, the opposition and referees throughout the season but hopefully we do not face such mistakes like in the Express game in future.”

A quick look at the statistics corner also points in favour of Vipers as the visitors have never won at St Mary’s Stadium in their last three visits.
