The Uganda International delivered a spectacular performance to inspire the Venoms to a comprehensive victory at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

Yunus Sentamu is delighted with his impressive display in Vipers’ 5-0 demolition of Wakiso Giants FC in Friday’s StarTimes Uganda Premier League game.

The forward scored four goals in the encounter for the first time in his career to help Robertinho’s men secure all three points.

The Cranes international completed his hat-trick just 16 minutes after the half-time break and then sealed the comprehensive win in the 68th minute.

Following the feat, Sentamu has expressed his excitement and appreciate fellow players, coaches and the club for their confidence in him.

“What a day! Four goals for me, the first time in my career. Thanks to everyone who always believe in me and Vipers SC. I love you all,” Sentamu told Vipers Media.

“When you win 5-0 in a game, it is obviously a great feeling.”

“It was a great performance from the team and we took the game from the front foot, and we’ve been efficient upfront so it’s a good result.”

On scoring four goals…

“Well it’s nice obviously. I will try to carry on like that, to finish the good job of the team. It’s always nice to be in the club’s history and we play football to mark our history also, so I am pleased to help the team win and obviously to score these four goals.”

Sentamu has now scored 20 goals in 21 appearances for the Venoms so far in the league since his return to the club early this year (January 28, 2021).

The forward hopes to be consistent with his performances for a chance to get more playing time with Uganda Cranes in the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers games against Kenya and Mali.

Sentamu is expected to lead the Venoms’ attack when we take on SC Villa in our next league game on Wednesday afternoon at St Mary’s stadium.
