It is only a week since Vipers SC faced Busoga United FC at the St Mary’s Stadium, a place where the winning 3-0 and subsequently advancing to the round of 16 of this year’s Stanbic Uganda Cup edition.
The two sides now shift their focus to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on Tuesday evening – the Venoms beat Busoga United 5-3 away in Njeru last December in the first round and will be keen to complete a double when they face off in Kitende.

Having secured their place in the last 16 in the Uganda Cup, the hosts’ confidence is high and there is hopefully a good omen at the St Mary’s Stadium where they have not lost domestic match this season.
The chances for Vipers head coach Fred Kajoba to rotate his squad isn’t as plentiful as we would have liked, not necessarily because of the injuries but he is cautious of changing a winning team hence only one or two changes may be possible.

“We are glad to have a good start in the Uganda Cup but we have to keep calm and focused and also stay in contention for both competitions.” said Kajoba.
“Going into this game requires a lot concentration because we are facing the same team for the third time in about eight days. They will want to exploit various avenues to score but we have to be tight, quick and active and make sure we win this tie.”
